Locations Fundamental
In this section, you will learn how to use the Locations module. This is a centralized way for you to link up with other modules on the Build CMS to specify your store locations.
Here is an example of a finished page using the Locations module:
Now that you have learned the fundamental ideas and seen an example of the end result, this guide will continue walking you through how to use the Locations module.
- ● 1 Main Company Information. In these fields, you will enter Main Information about your company.
- Company Name. In this field, you can enter your Company Name.
- Phone Number. In this field, you can enter your Phone Number.
- Company Logo. In this field, you can Browse to upload your Company Logo.
- Email. In this field, you can enter your Email address.
- Text Number. In this field, you can enter your Text Number.
- ● 2 Add New Location. Click this button to Add New Location, which will bring up a new screen to be covered below.
- ● 3 Search. In this field, you can enter Search terms for Locations.
- ● 4 Columns. These columns display information about a given location.
- Order. This column displays the location Order (in which it will be listed).
- Store Name. This column displays the location Store Name.
- Address. This column displays the location Address.
- Phone. This column displays the location Phone.
- Actions [Edit | Delete]. Here you can either Edit or Delete a Location. Click the Edit button to bring up the Edit Location screen, similar to the Add Location screen shown below.
- ● 1 In this section you will enter general information about your Store Location. A red underlined asterisk (*) indicates a required field.
- Location Name *. You must enter the Location Name here.
- Phone Number *. You must enter the Phone Number here.
- Fax Number. You can enter the Fax Number here.
- Reference Number. You can enter the Reference Number here.
- Street *. You must enter the Street address here.
- Street 2. You can enter the Street 2 address here.
- City *. You must enter the City here.
- Postal Code *. You must enter the Postal Code here.
- State *. You must enter the State here.
- Country *. You must enter the Country here.
- Google Map (Embed URL). You can enter the Google Map address here.
- Directions Link. You can enter the Directions Link here.
- Extra Link. You can enter an Extra Link here for any desired reason.
- Email *. You must enter the Email here.
- Cell Phone Number. You can enter the Cell Phone Number here.
- WhatsApp Number. You can enter the WhatsApp Number here.
- Manager Name. You can enter the Manager Name here.
- Store Code. You can enter the Store Code here.
- ● 1 In this section, you can Add Hours for your store by clicking on the green button, which will expand to reveal the following fields above:
- Label *. You must enter a Label here. You will assign an Hours value to this. It can be one or more days, e.g. “Monday,” or “Holiday”, or “Tuesday - Friday”.
- Value*. You must enter a Value here. These are the hours that you will be open, e.g. 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.
- Delete. You can remove hours by using the red Delete icon.
- ● 1 Store Image (380x220). You can click the Browse button here to select a Store Image to fit the 300x220 dimensions.
- ● 2 Store Logo. You can click the Browse button here to select a Store Image to fit the 300x220 dimensions.
- ● 3 Alt Text. You can enter Alt Text describing the Store Image and Logo in these fields (to comply with ADA regulations).
- ● 4 Brands. Here you can select Brands carried by this location. The dropdown list of Brands is connected to the Manage Brands module.
After you have completed the above fields, be sure to click Save before continuing. After you have added a Location, it will show up under Locations from the Locations main screen. Now that you have learned how to use the Locations module, that completes this section of the help manual.
