UTM Tracking Module Fundamental
The UTM Tracking module enables you to use UTM Tracking links that connect your website to other Sources. UTM stands for Urchin Tracking Module. This is a standardized method that allows you to track the following parameters: Source, Medium, Campaign, Term, and Content.
You can place a link in ads on various other platforms that connect to your jewelry website. The data provided by using this module can be used to track traffic sources, measure campaign performance, compare marketing channels, segment audiences and behavior, and optimize your marketing strategy.

UTM Tracking Results
On this page, you will find the different sections of UTM Tracking Results, which will be identified and explained in detail.
- 1 UTM Link generator. The following fields include information to be entered to generate a link for UTM Tracking.
- Page URL. In this field, Enter Page URL for Ad. This provides the URL that will connect to the external advertisement. Example: https://www.jewelrystore.com/spring_sale, https://www.example.com/campaign-page
- Medium. In this field, Enter UTM Medium. This is the type of platform that is used for the UTM. Example: cpc, social, email, affiliate
- Keyword. In this field, Enter UTM Term. This is a specific keyword to be associated with the UTM. Example: engagement_rings, fine_jewelry, wedding_rings, discount_earrings
- 2 These fields continue with additional information to be entered to generate a link for UTM Tracking.
- Source. In this field, Enter UTM Source. This is the name of the source or platform that connects to your webpage through the UTM Link. Example: google, instagram, pinterest, facebook
- Campaign. In this field, Enter UTM Campaign. This is the name of the campaign you designate to identify the specifics of the UTM. Example: spring_sale, black_friday, summer_collection, winter_clearance
- Ad Content. In this field, Enter UTM Content. This is the type of content that the link is being included within. Example: banner_1, video_ad_2, carousel_ad_3, popup_ad_4
- 3 Generated UTM URL. In this field, after you have filled in the above fields, the UTM URL will appear. Click the Copy button to the right to Copy the Generated UTM URL.
- 4 Visits by source. In this section, you will find a pie chart graph displaying the portion of Visits by source.
- Source. This column lists the Source that the UTM link connects to.
- Visitors. This column lists the number of Visitors identified with the Source.
- 5 UTM Tracker. In this section, you will find data that has been organized from the UTM Tracker.
- 6 [Filter] [Search] [Customize Columns] [Export to CSV] [Export to CSV with details].
- Filter. Click this button to open Filter for the results in the table below.
- Search. Enter Search terms into this field.
- Customize Columns. Click here to Customize Columns for UTM Tracking data.
- Export to CSV. Click here to Export UTM Tracking data to CSV format.
- Export to CSV with details. Click here to Export UTM tracking data from the table below including details.
- 7 Columns. These columns each display information about the UTM.
- Source. This column displays the Source of the UTM.
- Medium. This column displays the Medium of the UTM.
- Campaign ID. This column displays the Campaign ID of the UTM.
- Keyword. This column displays the Keyword of the UTM.
- Ad Content. This column displays the Ad Content of the UTM.
- Visits. This column displays the number of Visits of the UTM.
- First Visit. This column displays the date and time of the First Visit of the UTM.
- Last Visit. This column displays the date and time of the Last Visit of the UTM.
- Details. This column displays the Details of the UTM (shown below). Click the Details button to open the following window:
UTM Campaign Details. This window displays the UTM Campaign Details.
- Visited At. In this row, the date and time that the UTM link was visited is displayed.
- User Hash. In this row, the User Hash for the UTM link being visited is displayed.
- Visited Pages In this row, the Visited Pages for the UTM link is displayed.
When you are finished viewing the UTM Campaign Details, click outside of the box or click the x to close the window and return to the previous screen.
