Promotions - Code Generator Fundamental
In this module you will learn how to use the Promotions - Code Generator. This allows you to Generate, Add, Export, Search, and Manage your Promotion Codes. Using the Code Generator is necessary for running Promotions on your page.
Here is an example of a Promotion being applied by by a customer upon checkout, using a Code from the Code Generator:
Now that you have learned the fundamental idea of the Code Generator and seen an example of the end result, this guide will walk you through the process of how to use the Code Generator.
- ● 1 Add New Promotion Code. In this area, you can Add promotion codes one at a time.
- Promo Code (*). This field will display a Promo Code automatically created upon opening the Code Generator. You can also change the code or enter your own code here. Once Generated, a Promo Code cannot be deleted (but it can be turned On or Off).
- Click Add and it will appear on the list below. Then click the Refresh (circular arrows) button to fill in a new Promo Code in this field.
- ● 2 Promotion Code Generator. Here you can add multiple promotion codes at once.
- Generate promotion code automatically. Enter count (*). In this field, you must Enter a count for codes you wish to Generate.
- Click the Generate button to add the above count of codes to the table below.
- ● 3 Export Promotion Codes to CSV File. This area enables you to Export a range of Codes to CSV file. This way you can easily download and manage a large quantity of Promotion Codes in CSV format.
- From ID (*) and To ID (*). You must enter ID values here to specify the range of Codes you wish to Export. Click the Export button when ready.
- ● 4 Search. This allows you to Search for individual Promotion Codes in your table.
- ● 5 Columns. In this area, you will find a number of Columns displaying information about your Promotion Codes. Clicking on the up or down arrow icon next to each column title will sort by ascending or descending order.
- Promotion Code ID. This column displays the Promotion Code ID. This ID corresponds to the ordinal number associated with the Promotion Code.
- Code. This column displays the Code. This could be an automatically generated, random string, or some other string that you have entered manually.
- Status [On | Off]. This column displays the Status. Here you can control whether the Promotion Code is turned On or Off. The system does not allow you to Delete the code, but you can deactivate it here.
