You can access the above page by clicking on Products from the main menu, and Global Product Sorting from the dropdown menu.

You can also access these same basic Product Sorting options through your Edit screen on Pre-Filtered Collection Pages (shown below).

Global Product Sorting Fundamental

In this section, you will learn how to use the Global Product Sorting module. This enables you to configure ways for customers to Sort your products when using your website.

Global Product Sorting refers to Sorting methods made available across all keyword search pages as well as Pre-Filtered Collection Pages.

● Note: Pre-Filtered Collection Page Sorting Options for individual pages can be selected in the Pre-Filtered Collection Page Builder or by selecting Edit from the Manage All Pages screen.

● The same Sorting options will be displayed, enabling you to overwrite any Global Product Sorting options. The Pre-Filtered Collection Page Sorting is shown below:

General Rules and Guidelines for Global Product Sorting

Below is the default Global Product Sorting screen, which applies automatically to all keyword search pages as well as Pre-Filtered Collection Pages.

Here is an explanation of each Sorting option available to users:

● 1 Product Order [Ascending | Descending]. This enables you to sort by Product Order, which is a numerical value that can be assigned to a number for Sorting purposes. You can choose Ascending or Descending.

● 2 Price > [Low to High | High to Low | Not Applicable]. This enables you to activate or deactivate a sorting for an item by Price.

● 3 Product Type [Product Type A | Product Type B | Product Type C | Etc.]. This enables you to activate or deactivate a sorting for an item by one or more Product Types.

● 4 Product Tags [Product Tag A | Product Tag B | Product Tag C | Etc.]. This enables you to activate or deactivate a sorting for an item by one or more Product Tags.

● 5 Date of Arrival [Not Applicable | Newest Products First]. This enables you to activate or deactivate a sorting for an item by Date of Arrival, which is defined in Product Details.

● 6 Brand [Brand A | Brand B | Brand C | Etc.]. This enables you to activate or deactivate a sorting for one or more Brands that you have added.

● 7 Stock > [Available Products First | Not Applicable]. This dropdown enables you to activate or deactivate a sorting for an item by whether or not it is in Stock. In Stock is defined here as if Stock Quantity is greater than 0.

● 8 Shuffle > [Shuffle | Not Applicable]. This dropdown enables you to activate or deactivate a shuffle function that will randomize the displayed products.

All options ● 1 - ● 8 can be dragged and dropped to occupy different positions. Their relative position within this system will determine their priority. The Global Product Sorting displayed on the page will read from top to bottom. The exact logic will be covered in more detail below.

Here is a screenshot with an explanation, as an example of how the system processes the Order and Sorting:

Note: each individual Brand included under the Brand criterion will be sorted one at a time from left to right, applied to each of the criteria you have selected, from top to bottom.

Therefore here is the sequence for the above Order and Sorting configuration:

● 1 The Brand - Artcarved will be sorted first by the following options.

● 2 The Brand - Artcarved will be sorted by Product Order - Ascending.

● 3 The Brand - Artcarved will be sorted by Price - Low to High.

● 4 The Brand - Artcarved will be sorted by Product Type - Accessory first and Charm second.

● 5 The Brand - Artcarved will be sorted by Product Tags - Simple first and then Christmas second.

● 6 The Brand - Artcarved will be sorted by Date of Arrival - Newest products first.

● 7 The Brand - Artcarved will be sorted by Stock - Available products first.

● 8 The Brand - Artcarved will not have Shuffle applied, because Not Applicable is selected from the dropdown.

● 1 Then, all of the same criteria will be applied to sorting the Brand - Cartier, in the same order.
