This section of the guide will cover the Payment Method - Affirm. You can access this page by clicking on Shopping Cart from your main menu and then clicking Payment Methods from the dropdown menu.

Payment Methods - Affirm Fundamental

In this section, you will learn to use the Payment Methods - Affirm module. This module enables you to set up the Affirm Payment Method, which customers can use from your website’s checkout.

This guide will be separated into three sections for configuring the Affirm Payment Method.

• ● 1 Create Affirm Account. In this step, you will create an Affirm Account. You must have an account with Affirm so that you can link it to your Build CMS Account.

• ● 2 Acquire Affirm API Keys. In this step, you will receive the necessary credentials from the Affirm team to set up the integration of this payment method with your website.

• ● 3 Affirm Setup in Build CMS. In this step, you will enter your credentials into the Build CMS to complete your integration with Affirm.

Once you have completed all of these steps, Affirm will be available as a Payment Method from your website’s checkout. Now that you have learned the fundamental ideas, you can continue with the first section (Create Affirm Account).

(1) Create Affirm Account

To sign up for an account with Affirm, you should reach out to the Affirm team directly (recommended). Let them know you would like to open an account with them for your business.

If you are having difficulty contacting Affirm to receive the help you need, please reach out to the Build Support Team for further assistance.

After you have finished setting up your account, you can move on to the next section (Acquire Affirm API Keys).

(2) Acquire Affirm API Keys

In this step, you must receive the credentials from Affirm so that you can enter these into the Build CMS. There are three necessary credentials that the Affirm Team will provide to you. You must contact Affirm in order to receive the following:

• ● 1. Public Key.

• ● 2. Private Key.

• ● 3. Financial Product Key.

After you have received the above credentials from the Affirm Team, you can move on to the next section (Affirm Setup in Build CMS).

(3) Affirm Setup in Build CMS

Continue with this step by navigating to Shopping Cart and clicking Payment Methods from the dropdown. From there, navigate to Payment Methods - Affirm by selecting Affirm from the menu. You will now enter the API credentials you have gathered from your Affirm Account, to complete the process of syncing your Build CMS Account with your Affirm Account.

• ● 1 Public Key. In this field, enter the Public Key identified with your Affirm Account.

• ● 2 Private Key.  In this field, enter the Private Key identified with your Affirm Account.

• ● 3 Financial Product Key. In this field, enter the Financial Product Key identified with your Affirm Account.

• ● Sandbox [Enable]. This box should be checked if this Payment Method is in development or staging.

• ● Save. Click here to Save all fields in this section.

• ● Test my Settings. Click here to Test the settings you have entered in this section.

Once you have entered the above keys, make sure to click the Save button. You have now completed the process of setting up Affirm Payment Method.
